In short
Pick Spotlight from the palette: the frame dims, the ball carrier gets the ring and the other players keep their team letters — pick it again and the spotlight is off. Path draws a run: start on the player and drag along the way you want him to go; it lands as a dashed line with an end point and animates in a clip. Put the two together and the frame shows one player and one idea, ready to record. Everything stays on your device. iPhone and iPad.
Step by step
Spotlight
From the palette, pick Spotlight. The frame dims, the ball carrier gets the ring, and the others keep their team letters. Pick it again, and the spotlight is off.
On screen: Spotlight dims the frame and rings the ball carrier. Pick it again to switch it off.
Player path
The Path tool draws a run. Start on the player and drag along the way you want him to go. It lands as a dashed line with an end point, and in a clip it animates.
On screen: Path: drag from the player along the run you want. A dashed line with an end point.
Together
Put the two together: spotlight the carrier, draw the run beside him, and the frame shows one player and one idea, with nothing else in the way. Ready to record.
On screen: Spotlight on top of the path: one player, one run, nothing else in the way.
