Questions
Yes — that is the point. Anything in your camera roll works: a phone on a tripod, a clip filmed from the stands, a broadcast recording. Steadier and wider framing gives the scanner more to hold on to, but no special camera or tagging rig is needed.
Not for the analysis. Scanning, tracking, team detection, overlays and export all run on your device, so the app works on a plane or a touchline with no signal. A connection is only used for App Store purchases and, on the free tier, for the optional rewarded ad that unlocks an export.
Football and American football. You choose on first launch and can switch from the editor menu at any time — the scanner, the event types and the minimap all retune to the sport you picked.
No. The scan finds the players and splits the teams by kit colour before you start working. Tapping is there for when you want to single someone out — spotlight them, follow them, or measure their distance to a team-mate.
